Responding to Marking and Feedback

In English lessons, G3 have been working hard to develop their editing and proof-reading skills. Children were encouraged to read through their own writing to first try to notice any spelling or punctuation errors and then to have a think about how their work could be improved.

We watched the video Austin's butterfly which showed how a boy called Austin took feedback from his peers to keep improving his drawing of a butterfly. We related this to our own work and discussed the importance of trying again and to persevere with our learning and the work we produce.

Learners this week were tasked with creating a recount - sharing a memory of a past Bonfire Night. Learners planned, drafted and typed up a final version of their recount responding to teacher and peer feedback.

Miss Wilson has been thrilled with the resilience and attitude to learning from all learners!
