An active start!

Our PE learners have been learning about the combinations of body type: ectomorph, mesomorph and endomorphs. Ectomorphs have little body fat and little muscle, endomorphs on the other hand have lots of body fat and mesomorphs are athletic, solid and strong.

Our learners are applying their knowledge to create bespoke exercise plans to improve their fitness levels and set achievable fitness goals based upon their body type.

Some of our learners have been demonstrating their learning by starting the day with the 60 second push up challenge - seeing how many push ups they can do in 1 minute. 

Luke explains “fitness is all about improvement just focus on yourself and you will see results.”  

Brandon, who wants to be a physiotherapist when he leaves school said “it’s good fun - just do your best and you will get stronger. Exercise is really good for your mental health too it’s not all about physical strength .”
