KS3 Residential

Our KS3 Learners have been on a residential trip this week, in Kielder Northumberland.   The weather was perfect for a spring residential; learners were lucky to have glorious sunshine for their time away and really enjoyed being outdoors in the beautiful countryside surroundings.

Our learners had an incredible 2 days, packed full of a wide range of outdoor activities and experiences to take part in including rock climbing, absailling, bike riding, canoeing and adventure play. All learners tried their best to get to stuck in and represented the school values of being, calm, kind and honest.  Learners encouraged, helped and supported each other on what was, for some, their first time away from home.

Learners demonstrated great maturity whilst away making their beds, tidying up and helping do the dishes. Dean said "the best bit was the team-work we all worked together."

As well as having an amazing, adventure filled holiday our learners were overwhelmed at the night sky.  Due to the rural location, each night the learners were able to see the stars without any light pollution. "The sky was amazing!"  was one of the comments from one of our returning learners, Ellie!
