“Reach Out” Event

Together for Children’s Prevention and Resilience Team this week hosted a week-long conference called ‘Reach Out’, focusing on Relationships, Sex and Health Education and Anti-Bullying. Two learners from each year group across the school attended the event on Tuesday at Castle View school, along with other secondary schools from across the city.

Learners had the opportunity to take part in 4 different workshops, focusing on issues such as bullying, drugs and alcohol, healthy lifestyles, and emotional wellbeing. The learners then had the opportunity to visit various stalls that were promoted by health professionals from across a range of services and learn about the help and support that is available for them to access. All the learners agreed that they really enjoyed the sessions and found them informative and fun.
