Seafish Organisation Introduction to Commercial Fishing
One of our learners has successfully completed and passed a 3-week Seafish Organisation Introduction to Commercial Fishing Course. This gives new entrants a basic knowledge and awareness of different activities that are commonplace aboard commercial fishing vessels.
It includes four mandatory one-day courses which are legally required to work on a fishing vessel. These are; Sea Survival, Health and Safety, First Aid, and Firefighting.
He has already secured a placement on a local fishing trawler out of the Port of Tyne
