World Book day 2023
As part of the school’s continued drive on promoting a life-long love of reading, we were happy to get involved with the annual event which brings reading to the forefront of the day for learners across the country and around the world.
Lessons were themed around famous authors and their works and staff were dressed as a range of characters including Mr Bump, Miss Trunchbull, The Rainbow fish, Dr Jekyl/Mr Hyde and an assortment of Harry Potter characters.
All learners were given a token which will get them a free book from a range of specially produced titles which suit a range of ages and interests. Virtually every book-seller is participating so all our learners could get their hands on a free reading book.
