Welcome to Trinity Academy New Bridge!
Situated in Sunderland, Trinity Academy New Bridge is a special school dedicated to supporting learners aged 11-16 who experience social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Our school works closely with Together for Children to offer a nurturing, inclusive environment where all learners are supported to thrive, with each learner holding an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
At Trinity Academy New Bridge, we are passionate about providing a high-quality, aspirational education through personalised learning programmes that cater to the unique needs of every learner. Our vision, "To create confident, competent, and kind citizens of the future," is at the heart of everything we do. We take a holistic approach to understanding and supporting each child, building positive relationships to help them overcome challenges, boost their self-esteem, and develop a love of learning.
Our dedicated staff are highly skilled in creating a safe, consistent, and predictable environment, following a Trauma-Informed Approach that promotes calm, kindness, and honesty. This approach ensures our learners feel supported and valued every day.
Our curriculum is designed to ensure that all learners leave Key Stage 4 with strong qualifications in English and Maths, providing a firm foundation for future education, training, or employment. We offer tailored support to help learners reach their reading potential and meet their EHCP targets, while addressing any barriers to learning. Our aim is for every learner to succeed and be fully prepared for their next steps, whatever they may be.
We are proud of the positive, supportive community we have built at Trinity Academy New Bridge, and we are committed to helping our learners grow into confident and capable individuals ready to face the future with optimism and strength.
