To study upthrust and buoyancy, we made boats of different sizes and measured how many marbles it takes for them to sink before converting the weight of the boats into grams. We finished off with air resistance and gravity, where learners constructed parachutes in order to get their egg safely to the ground. Predicting a lot of scrambling and mess, the majority of learners were able to safely land their egg without so much as a scratch!
