Curriculum Intent: Preparation for the Next Stage
Safety in Schools
As per our Curriculum Intent: preparation for the next stage, all learners have a Preparation for Adulthood lesson each week. This is differentiated amongst our year groups into a range of topics. The skills learnt during Preparation for Adulthood lessons are then used across our curriculum.
During the beginning of the Autumn term, our Year 8 learners have looked at Health and Safety in the kitchen and what to do to keep themselves safe. During their Food Technology lesson, learners designed posters both by hand and on laptops showing the dangers that could happen.
