Thrilling 5-a-Side Football Tournament

Before the October half-term holiday, the PE department hosted a much-anticipated 5-a-side football tournament, bringing together learners from all year groups for an afternoon of energy, teamwork, and friendly competition. The event took place in the school’s sports hall split over two days as four teams battled it out for the Trinity Academy New Bridge trophy.

The tournament kicked off under bright lights, and the atmosphere was electric. Each team played with passion and determination, cheered on by classmates and teachers from the sidelines. The short, fast-paced matches kept everyone on edge — with quick goals, daring saves, and plenty of impressive footwork.

In the group stage, team 1 and team 3 emerged as the strongest contenders, both displaying excellent teamwork and tactical play. The semi-finals were intense, with matches decided by narrow margins and last-minute goals as team 2 were following close behind team 3.

The final match was a thrilling contest. Both sides showed great sportsmanship and skill, but it was team 3 who took the victory with a 3–2 win, thanks to a stunning goal in the final minute. The crowd erupted in applause as the winners lifted the trophy, celebrating their well-deserved triumph.

The event was not only about competition but also about team spirit and school community. Teachers praised all participants for their enthusiasm, respect, and sportsmanship.

Overall, the 5-a-side football tournament was a huge success and will be remembered as one of the highlights of the October term. Plans are already being made for next terms event — and the teams can’t wait for another shot at glory!
