Mapping the Globe
This term, Year 7 learners have been developing their foundational geographical skills within Humanities by exploring the physical makeup of our world. They have progressed from identifying and labelling the seven continents and five major oceans to mastering the practical use of a globe to understand Earth’s spherical nature.
By focusing on the relationship between global positioning and specific countries, learners are building the spatial awareness necessary to transition from simple map-reading to more complex global analysis.
