Cragside Trip June 2026
Our learners enjoyed an educational visit to Cragside, a National Trust property widely recognised as the UK's first 'smart home'. During the Victorian era, the house pioneered the use of hydroelectric power and hydraulic technology, making it one of the most innovative homes of its time.
Learners began the day by exploring the beautiful trails, gardens, and parkland surrounding the estate before having the opportunity to tour the magnificent house itself. Stepping inside, they discovered the impressive design, innovation, and history of this remarkable Victorian home, making for an engaging and memorable learning experience.
