European Day of Languages 2023
On Tuesday 26th September, for our word of the week, Group 11 celebrated European Day of Languages. This is a day celebrated across Europe to raise awareness into the importance of language learning and linguistic heritage.
Instead of one word, learners were introduced to many words from other European languages that are very similar in spelling and meaning to English language words. These words are called cognates.
