Team Work
During maths lessons on a Friday, learners work in mixed-ability groups to solve word problems. We are beginning to learn to use strategies and resources to help us out when we get stuck.
Often, in maths, there are a number of ways to use logic and reasoning to work through tricky questions, and we are building our resilience in accepting challenge and overcoming difficulties.
Learners use the RUCSAC method (Read, underline, calculate, solve, check) and offer peer support to complete the learning.
