The Speakers for Schools DISCOVER! Creative Careers Week Programme

Trinity Academy New Bridge will be taking part in ‘The Speakers for Schools DISCOVER! Creative Careers Week Programme’. This forms part of the government-backed, industry-led initiative that aims to inspire and inform young people aged 11-18 about careers in the creative industries. The year-round Discover Creative Careers programme features include a careers finder tool, training for careers professionals and monthly live industry insight events. We will also be offering Careers advice, which is supported by Channel 4 which has a focus on virtual work experience for learners who are interested in the creative and screen industries in KS4. The 4 Skills programme is project-based learning and covers a range of topics for KS4 learners including;

  • How to Write an Apprenticeship Application  
  • Career Panel - Apprentices  
  • What is an Apprenticeship?  
  • Career Panel - Social Media Content Creation

KS3 Learners will also have access to virtual workshops, live assemblies, digital resources and a national competition on their own platform on https://www.4schools.co.uk. The 4Schools programme will introduce our learners to careers such as set designers, location managers, sound mixers, scheduling managers and many more options that could become an achievable future for everyone.
