Food Technicians
Our KS4 learners who are currently studying for qualifications in Food Science and Nutrition have been offering help and support to our younger learners during their food technology lessons. They have been preparing ingredients, clearing away materials, assisting teaching staff with practical demonstrations and making sure lessons run smoothly and efficiently.
The learners have taken ownership of the storage cupboard making sure ingredients are safely and hygienically stored and all best before and use by dates checked.
This experience has got the learners thinking about their future, in particular, entering the world of work and has given them transferable skills for many jobs related to Food Technology.
