    This half term in Art lessons, Group 11 have been exploring printmaking.  We have created relief prints, monoprints and cut-out prints - each time experimenting with fabric paint, acrylic paint and fabric pens.

    In science, year 8 have been preparing for their next term's learning - 'Atoms and Elements', by recalling their knowledge of states of matter. Learners have impressed with their scientific vocabulary, using words such as particle, molecule and state confidently.

    Printmaking

    In art, learners have been experimenting with the elements of art - 'colour' and 'line' to create simple prints. After creating a sample on paper, learners were able to identify what type of designs and colours created the best effect to use on their sample of cotton fabric.

    Acorn House in the Forest

    The Year 7 learners of the Acorn House have had another wild week at forest school! They have been picking conkers, made body armour, made dens, played team games, made a swing and some have even had the opportunity to use the tools to chop the wood for the fire!
